Christmas Ham - Deposit To Secure your Order

This delicate ham is prepared according to our traditional recipe using the finest ingredients. We prepare our Free Range pork legs to specification just before we place them in a bath of salt, sugar, herbs and spices for nearly a week to ensure salts and curing agents penetrate all muscles of the ham. There are no fillers, no binders and no gluten in our hams! 

Then once this process is finished, we hang the legs in the cool room to dry before smoking. In our smoker we create a light amount of smoke using natural beech wood wood chips and we smoke it until it is ready! Yes, as scientific as it sounds we make decisions every day how long the products are smoked! As a final touch, we cook  to perfection ensuring it stays moist and rich in flavour! 

How good is the ham?
Well, at the recent Sydney Fine Food Awards, judges awarded it a Silver medal, which made us very proud! This is our sixth medal for this product so far!

Where do the pigs come from?
This year we have teamed up with farmers in Goondiwindi, South Queensland. Their Gooralie Free Range Pork is one of the few RSPCA Certified piggeries in Australia. You can find more about them following this link: Gooralie Free Range Pork. Most importantly their pigs are living in a stress free environment and are fed a natural, nutritiously balanced diet free of chemical residue, antibiotics and hormone growth promotants.

So what do we need to do next?
Well now it is time to choose your favourite way to have your ham. This year we are offering three different specifications to suit your needs.
Full Bone in Ham - a majestic centre piece for your table which will satisfy all your hungry guests, or Boneless Full or Half Ham if you don't want to mess around and just enjoy a quick and easy way to carve it at the table. Sizes and prices of hams are as follows:

  • Free Range Smoked Bone-In Ham 7-9kg - $28.50 per kg
  • Free Range Smoked Boneless Half Ham 2-5kg - $32.50 per kg
  • Free Range Smoked Boneless Full Ham 7-9kg - $32.50 per kg
  • Traditional Smoked Boneless Ham 2-5kg - $24.00 per kg

Deposit of $50 is required upon ordering.

There will be a weight variation within the limits specified above on each ham and the remainder will be payable at collection. We will endeavour to meet all your weight requirements, however please keep in mind that this is a natural product and we will not always be able to meet requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: All hams are available for collection ONLY. You will be able to arrange collection from The Farm Shop Cafe, The Plot at Pialligo, 12 Beltana Rd, Pialligo.
